Das Schaufenster ist ein Ort der Präsentation.
Der Vorhang trägt den Gestus der Präsentation in sich.
Der Vorhang verhängt das Schaufenster.
Die Anwesenheit des Vorhangs kündigt eine Abwesenheit an.
Der Vorhang verhüllt und enthüllt.
Er spielt mit der Erwartung des Betrachters.
Er ist wie ein Aperitif oder wie ein glitzerndes Bonbonpapier.
Er will verführen.
Der Vorhang als Projektionsfläche.

About the work of Lia Vez Saleiro
Über die Arbeit/about the work
Lia Vaz Saleiro stellt Erlebnisse/Erzählungen in Form von Objekten und Zeichnungen dar.
Mit ihren Objekten versucht sie einen Moment/ Zustand, den man nicht mehr greifen kann, einen Körper zu geben. Gefühle oder Wahrnehmungen, die an Orten entstehen, werden zu “Formen, die uns bleiben”. Dafür wählt sie hauptsächlich „leichte” Materialien wie Papier, Stoff, Wachs oder Gips.
Als Ausgangspunkt für die Zeichnungen dienen Skizzen und Fotomaterial, die die Künstlerin gesammelt hat. Die Erinerungen, Landschaften, Erfahrungen und Wahrnehmungen dieser Sammlung projektiert sie auf Holz und Papier.
Ihr Ziel ist es die Betrachter nicht auszuschließen, sondern ihnen den schwebenden Zustand eines Momentes zu erzählen oder ihn zu teilen, denn in jedem von uns steckt ein individuelles Bild, das wiederum universell erkannt wird.
Lia Vaz Saleiro represents experiences/stories in shape of objects and drawings.
With her objects she tries to give shape to untouchable moments or situations. Feelings, cognitions that emerge at places, become “shapes that stay in us”. She mainly uses “light” materials like paper, fabrics, wax or plaster.
Sketches and photos that she has been collecting are the source for her drawings. Memories, landscapes, experiences and cognitions are projected on wood and paper.
The beholder is not to be excluded, in fact her goal is to share a floating moment as in everyone of us there is an individual picture that will be recognized universally.
